Board of Christian Education

The Board's duties and responsibilities are defined in the Bylaws.   This board focuses on youth ministry and Christian education for all persons.

Board Goals

• Increase Sunday School attendance
• Increase VBS attendance
• Research scheduling VBS during the day
• Implementation of Sunday School library

Board Activities

* Sponsor Vacation Bible School
* Sponsor Senior and Junior Youth activities
* Sponsor confirmation activities and celebration banquet
* Encourage and support Senior Youth who attend Synodical National Youth Gathering (NYG)
* Encourage and support Senior Youth who attend synodical Servant Events (SE)
* Hold annual garage sale to support adults going on SE or NYG as chaperons
* Sponsor Synodical Servant Events
* Support fund-raising through the Lugnuts concession stand
* Sponsor an annual Christian book Fair
* Offer partial tuition for members attending Our Savior Lutheran Day School
* Support members who attend Synodical Colleges through scholarships
* Sponsor adult Bible stidies in members' homes and at church
